Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all members

The Christmas break up was enjoyed by one and all. After a sumptuous meal produced and served by Kay and Graeme Francis, the entertainment by Tracy Candy was in a class of it’s own. A cabaret act in which she seemed to involve many of the members present, started off with a song dedicated to bowlers of the Harcourt Bowling Club.

Off the green plenty has been happening. The Shading around the green is in place. A permanent ramp which will allow the roller and mower to access the green and which can be used as wheelchair access is in place. The area at the back of the club which was purchased for the installation of a second green has been cleared and extended to the creek. Retaining walls are all but finished and the high fence beside the rear decking is now complete.

The greens committee has taken advantage of the Christmas break to core and top dress the green.

On the green all teams are tracking really well towards the final stage of the season with the Midweek teams in division 4 in second place on the ladder and division 5 only just out of the four.

In the weekend  pennant division 3 are top as are division 6 with division 8 in the four holding fourth position on the ladder.
